PhilanTropics will be exploring the effectivity, impact and challenges of climate activism with Gary H. White, Founder and Group Leader of the San Mateo, California Chapter of Extinction Rebellion (XR). XR uses non-violent direct action tactics to call attention to the increasing severity of the climate crisis and to demand an appropriate response by the U.S. government and the business community to minimize climate impacts.
